Marine Geopolymer Concrete—A Hybrid Curable Self-Compacting Sustainable Concrete for Marine Applications

چکیده

Marine environments are widely addressed as a serious threat to coastal concrete structures due higher repair and rehabilitation costs. The rising concerns of climate change related issues also require marine be resilient sustainable at the same time. Geopolymer has been given more significant consideration an alternative, reporting better resistance harsh hazardous environmental exposure, including sulphate attacks, chloride freeze–thaw climates. This study investigated mechanical properties fly ash (FA) ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS)-based self-compacting geopolymer (SCGC), subjected short term ambient curing conditions. performance, inclusive compressive strength, tensile modulus elasticity under three-month exposure compared environment, indicates that SCGC mix offered increase in strength. It is reported strength increased range 50 MPa after comparison 40 28-day curing. A similar indirect were observed for test specimens, with no signs leaching salts exposure. Thus, current acts construction material counteracting threats degradation civil structural components.

Effect of Curing Conditions on Strength of Fly ash-based Self-Compacting Geopolymer Concrete

This paper reports the results of an experimental work conducted to investigate the effect of curing conditions on the compressive strength of self-compacting geopolymer concrete prepared by using fly ash as base material and combination of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate as alkaline activator. The experiments were conducted by varying the curing time and curing temperature in the range of...

Self-Compacting Concrete - Procedure for Mix Design

Self-compacting concrete is a fluid mixture suitable for placing in structures with congested reinforcement without vibration. Self-compacting concrete development must ensure a good balance between deformability and stability. Also, compactibility is affected by the characteristics of materials and the mix proportions; it becomes necessary to evolve a procedure for mix design of SCC. The paper...

hybrid fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete: hardened properties

in most cases, fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete (frscc) contains only one type of fiber. the use of two or more types of fibers in a suitable combination may potentially not only improve the overal properties of self-compacting concrete, but may also result in performance synergie. the combining of fibers, often called hybridization, is investigated in this paper for a cimentetious mat...
